  • ALC’s proprietary conversion process is key to maximizing address hygiene and merge purge results.
  • The conversion process parses the name and address fields and carries forward additional customer data.
  • Verifies list counts and data integrity on the file (e.g. gender).
  • Standardize person’s name and corrects flip-flop of names and identifies missing names.

Delivery Sequence File (DSF2TM)

  • DSF2TM is a USPS® licensed product.
  • A list of the 145 million delivery sequence points identified by the USPS®.
  • Confirms deliverability of the specific address (not just the street range like CASSTM)
  • Identifies businesses, residences, vacant addresses and seasonal addresses.

 

Custom Address Hygiene Services

  • Deceased Processing - Remove people who are deceased through self reported sources or the DMA Pander file.
  • Prison Suppression - Remove prisons and State Institutions
  • Foreign Addresses - Drop US territories and/or foreign locations.
  • Military Zip Codes - Eliminate US military and APO/FPO locations.
  • Model Screening - Apply list models to identify the most responsive/profitable people to mail
  • List Cutbacks - Nth or Split incoming lists to achieve desired list quantity.

 

Merge/Purge

  • Deduping – Remove duplicates within each list or a family of lists (intradupes). Remove duplicates between lists (multi-buyer dupes) and incorporate best dupe logic to select the most complete record by name, address and demographics. ALC uses state of the art matching logic that enables records to be deduped at the individual, household, and address levels.
  • Customer File Suppression – Remove records that match to active customer records, bad debt files, and pander files. Suppress files can also be incorporated to the specific business rules required to drop or flag records. Suppress logic can be applied at the individual, household and address levels.
  • Do Not Mail/Do Not Promote Suppression – Remove records that match those from a customer supplied opt out file.
  • Prior Mail File Suppression – Remove records that match to those mailed in previous campaigns. Prior mail suppress rules can be applied to suppress or flag across multiple campaigns based on recency and frequency of mailings.
  • Data Appends/Overlays – Enable the appending of consumer or business data from outside sources to match against the gross or net output of the merge purge. Allows for additional segmentation if mail packages are being targeted by specific consumer demographics like age/gender or business data like company size or SIC.
  • Post Net Modeling - Apply internal or external models to the net output of the merge to suppress unresponsive or unprofitable segments.

 

Post Merge/Purge Processing

  • Splits and Nths – Allows for the partitioning of the post merge/purge data into multiple files for mailings containing multiple offers. Additionally, it provides the ability to limit the number of records output to a specified quantity by file or in total.
  • Finder Number Application/Finder File Generation – Enables response tracking through the application of a unique finder number that is then captured at the time of response, and linked back to the finder file.
  • Key Coding – Allows for the tracking of responders by list when the key code is captured at the time of response.
